ELEY Competition 2012
Message from Eric
Your 2012 Eley competition cards are now available at the Club, and there is a clear four weeks to the final shoot by date which is the 6th Feb.
All details of card types and shots per card, etc. are available with your cards.
A couple of comments particular to this competition are:
- LSR cards sets are numbered, and those of you shooting them are asked to do so in order.
- Bench rest shooters are reminded that for NSRA competitions the rear rifle support is to be the shooter, not a separate rest on the bench.
- Another Bench rest comment is that scoring is done outwards!
To cover the cost of the cards used, there is a charge per person of £2 each. Please let me have your payment.
Some of you have one set of cards and some several sets. Please ensure that all cards in each set are shot on one day.
Your cards are in a box labelled "Eley Competition" in the Club room on a table under the wall mounted target holders. Having shot a set of cards please sign them, get them witnessed and dated, then put them in the "Shot Card" box.
This year's round one entry is by far the largest the Club has had, with over 500 cards for me to score. Hence your soonest shooting would help spread the load.
On top of the on-going seasonal league competitions, the Eley round 1 comp is a high load for a short period of four weeks. Some of you may find fitting all things in, a little difficult. If so, do discuss with the leader of the session(s) you usually attend. There are various possibilities including prioritising existing sessions or arranging additional sessions. Do let me know.
All Eley competition sets score up to 400. ....do try making your first shot in a set a cracking good one, then keep it up from there....
Eric
